About Us

The mission of the Parkinson Support Center of Kentuckiana is to provide support services that improve the quality of life for the Parkinson's community; to promote public awareness; to contribute to the local and national efforts to raise funds for support; and to accelerate the research for a cure.

We are a grassroots organization, founded by Louisville-area people with Parkinson’s disease (read our “History” for more information). While we’ve grown and expanded our programs and services beyond support groups, our core values remain centered on ensuring that no one has to face Parkinson’s disease alone. Our rally cry is "live well and fight back" against Parkinson's!

We are not affiliated with any national organization; we do, however, collaborate with all organizations—both local and national—that seek to serve people who are living with this disease.  Since 1999, the Parkinson Support Center of Kentuckiana (PSCKY) has raised over 2 million dollars to help educate the community, raise awareness about Parkinson’s disease, provide direct support services to people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones, and fund national and local research initiatives.

We are the only organization with the sole purpose of serving people with Parkinson’s disease in over 45 counties in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. We have a wealth of information and resources to share. Most of our services are free, though we welcome and need your tax-deductible donations. No one has to face Parkinson’s disease alone. We’re here for you!
